Interesting story on a failed deal to send Chevy Malibus to Iraq and the clamor in Nova Scotia to buy them once the deal fell through.

Ha that’s awesome, a friend of mine’s parents had one - they were really strangely optioned - base model,
three speed floor shift manual, A/C, and fixed windows in the back seat. Not many of them actually ended up in NS - they mostly went to dealer or GM
employees since they were substantially cheaper than a new Malibu or Celebrity
.

Virtually all went to GM or dealer employees. They were strange cars - a friend’s parents had one - they were base models with three speed manuals and A/C. Given that
the low price was probably a false economy
- I’d imagine the resale value was terrible.
